Banana Sandwich Bites

These Banana Sandwich Bites are a tasty, simple and gut friendly snack that can be made using your favourite nut butter and granola 😋


Remember to use 70% Dark Chocolate as this contains around 8-10g fibre per 100g (vs 3g in milk chocolate!) making it ‘high fibre’ to feed your gut bacteria 🙌

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

¼ cup of nut butter

¼ cup of Bio&Me Vanilla Kefir

100g 70%+ Dark Chocolate

½ cup Bio&Me Fruit & Nut Granola

Method

STEP 1

Peel and slice each banana into 1 cm rounds and lay half on a lined baking sheet.

 

STEP 2

Mix the kefir and nut butter together and divide between each banana slice. Top with the remaining slices. You should have approx. 10-12 sandwiches and place the tray in the freezer to set.

 

STEP 3

Meanwhile melt the chocolate in a small metal bowl over a small pan of simmering water. Be sure the bowl and water do not touch.

 

STEP 4

Once the banana sandwiches have frozen for at least 30 minutes, dip half into the melted chocolate swiftly followed by the granola and place back on the tray. 


Bonus Step: Eat now or store in an airtight container in the freezer as they will keep for approx. 3-4 weeks!
